What is Seesaw?

Seesaw is a learning management system used in NISD for PreK - 2nd grade classrooms. It allows educators to empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links.

Accessing Seesaw

Teachers and Students will both access Seesaw through the NISD Portal. From there, sign in with Google. This is where you will access your class, students, and activities. Your Seesaw classes will be auto-rostered for you when your class list is complete, yay!

-Your NISD iPad will already have Seesaw downloaded for you. Open the app and sign in with Google.

-The IOS or Android Seesaw app is also available to download on your phone.

Teachers can invite families following these steps. Families can connect to their child's Seesaw journal to participated in their student's learning, see student work, and celebrate progress. Families can connect to their child’s journal on the web (app.seesaw.me) or by downloading the Seesaw App, available on iOS and Android. When families connect to their child’s journal, they can only see their individual child’s work, or group projects that their child is tagged in.
